Supported Living
Extrahand Care Supported Living Service is designed to meet needs of individuals on their journey to independence. Our primary role is to provide care and support packages that encourages the discovery of new skills and interests, supporting individuals in the community in a dwelling that they hold the tenancy too. We specialise in providing top quality, compassionate care to people from all cultures and backgrounds.
We tailor- make each support package to ensure it meets everyone’s want, needs, and wishes. With our Person-Centred approach, we can support each individual to fulfil their dreams and reach their potential. Familiarity and regular routines are key to reducing distress, so receiving consistent support from our trained caregivers in the familiar home environment is ideal wherever possible. We work with our service users and family to make sure that they receive a healthy balanced diet and ensuring that they receive the best possible care whilst also meeting their personal choices and needs.
Extrahand Care delivers HIGH QUALITY, PERSONALISED and FLEXIBLE services to individuals whose lives are affected by:
- Learning disabilities
- Physical disabilities,
- Mental Health needs,
- Autism spectrum conditions,
- Complex Needs
- Children leaving care (16-25)
- Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.
What we do?
We take a holistic view of the support we offer and recognise that to have good health, HAPPINESS and WELLBEING, there are some core things that we may need to support you with, these include, amongst other things:
- Developing and maintaining meaningful Social and Personal Relationships
- Being part of a local community
- Having relevant Training & skills
- Assisting with job, college/university applications
- Having regular health checks
- Doing regular activities
- Assist registering with the local GP, dentists and opticians
- Developing and maintaining a Healthy diet
- Assisting with budgeting for food, bills, clothing recreation etc
- Assistance with application and filing of welfare benefit forms
- Opening bank account
